Any Veterans with a Service COnnected Disability

I was diagnosed with RSD back in 2001 and this question will pertain to any veteran with any service connected disability.

I went in to treatment for my service connected disability (RSD) and they in turn billed my Personnal Health Insurance.

I then called my Health Insurance COmpany and they stated that a new law was passed and the VA can bill your personal insurance know.

So I am to understand that a service connected disbality is know not the responsibility of the Government but of your own private insurance.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Don't know anything about this but my daughter works for the VA and may know something. I will try remember to ask her the next time I talk to her. Lisa

My family has a $6000 deductible that has to be met before my insurance company starts paying.

So I am know being stuck with the bill for a service connected disability.

Something is wrong here... Very Wrong.

Yikes. I really don't know, bugguy. I got 30% because of the MS AND I don't have any private insurance. I just hope you get a good answer to this issue soon.

Push comes to shove, you may eventually want to contact your representative.
It's possible that they attempt to use your private insurance if you have it, if not VA will cover it, but the deductible thing is a problem. Can you imagine if your deductible was $20,000? These deductibles are getting quite popular.

I hate insurance.....................................:mad :
