SAH 2 yrs ago and still get headaches
 

Hi; I had a subarrachnoid hemmorage in the lower rear of my brain on 8/13/08. they put coiling in and i was in the neuro-ICU for 2 wks. i had some deficits on my right side, and have recovered - more or less :)

post aneurysm i now get migraines and sound sensitivity. they can be light headaches (1-2 on the rating scles) or I had a bad one the other day (3-4). i am taking anti-seizure meds (gabapentin) to lessen the frequency, but they stopped working. i am going to start topomax soon. my question is, do you still have headaches post aneurysm bleed with a coiling and if so, where? I tend to get mine at the bridge of my nose and it radiates upwards and to the top of my head and then to the back (assuming I havent taken meds at this point)

I just want to get perspective............
