Drooping mouth anyone?
I know most people with MG have a drooping eyelid(or two!), but I have a drooping left side of my mouth. Anyone else?

Sue, For me, it's the right side that droops more. Have you ever taken photos of your face? If you can take consistent photos, in the same lighting, at the same distance and angle of your face, they can be very revealing. Take one when you are well-rested and then some more after you do things or go out. It's pretty amazing, really. I have some side-by-side comparisons where the "after" photo looks like someone else it's so droopy. You wouldn't think your nose could droop but it sure does! ;)

Your whole face can droop and it can get really bad. I have been to the point where I was almost in myasthenic crisis. I have eye twitching and leg weakness with twitching. Yes you can look like you have had a stroke |
Thanks! I have had it for about a year or a little more. I never thought much of it--I just thought it was aging!(I'm 50). When I went to a neuro appt., he noticed it pretty quickly, but sent me for an MRI(found cervical neck issues, but nothing severe) and did labwork. Then didn't really tell me anything!
My pulmonologist rand MG labwork last year, but said everything came back normal. I guess I should have gotten a copy of that labwork. |
