Today I, pt 3......cont'd from DDaymmb, Shelley

I was searching the old threads and see we lost our thread, there were almost 2000 post on the thread and suggestion to start a new one.
Not sure if someone did another since our bud's......but it was a hit to just drop a line or several to keep in touch....

Me, I am around. Low back is shot, now really painful and restricting me. TOS seems not the pain it was since the Lexapro, happy about that. I have my PI license so I am working from home on the most part. Grandson is 5 now, and Miss thing, is going to be 15 in Oct. Old time friends may remember her as a 18 month old on the original forum, sooooo many years ago.

one of the things that seems to be contributing to the old server's load is very looooong threads

Doc will be moving us onto a super di duper new server in a couple of weeks, but till then it would be best if we try to keep threads a bit shorter...say maybe no more than 500 posts.... then start new thread

soooooo
if someone would please start a "Today I......" part deux and let me know when it is up....I will add the link here for all to continue

so sorry for the inconvenience but I am sure you would agree it is better this way than to have the old server struggling to let us in

thanks to Shelley for starting "Today I...." part 2

and a big thanks to DDayMBB for this thread

Not about to let what appeard to be a negative day spoil every momtent:
I set out to find something that was nice about today, a good moment and found a few.
My special color rose is going to bloom again, the sunflower is over 10 ft tall, may not be bloomed for entry to the fair, but it will be beautiful.

My grandson out of the blue, just says, " I love you Mamma."

Today/tonight is about the first measurable bit of rain we've had since the long wet & cool spring a few months ago. That is quite unusual for Oregon.

Today I studied vector math and had veggie meal from Jason's deli. I hung a picture of my mom and I white water rafting on the Kern. I cried a small tear as I still miss her so.

Oh I hate to see summer end, I look forward to the warm months of sun and longer days.
Last year just 6 weeks from now we had 3 inches of snow. It is getting dark so much earlier too....bad bad thing!

Everyone have as nice a Memorial Day as you can. :)

Pop up

Today I got CT scan back on my sinuses and it was fine. So I have no allergies and the pus sacks in my sinuses are gone. (Yes we have no bananas). But my thyroid has a nodule and I am going to have a sonogram guided needle biopsy on that. I sit with an ice pack on it because the 1st sonogram sent my neck pain through the roof. Saturday I take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam for 8 long hours. Wish me luck. Miss you all and hope you are doing well.

tied, I'm so sorry to hear your diagnosis! will they remove the nodule?

Prayers for you, dear.

My sis in law had a portion of her thyroid removed when she was in her 20's due to cancer. I can't recall if she also had some radiation at the time, it was 25 yrs ago or so.
Is yours a small spot that can be removed?

the nodule is 1 cm and they recommend a total thyroidectomy. after removal will know next step, my age against me but all other factors are good.
