Antibiotics

I have been prescribed an antibiotic for a mild bladder infection I have. I know some of them are really bad for us with PN. I am on Ibilex 500 (cephalosporin family). This is only the 2nd time in my adult life I recall needing an antibiotic, I never take them.

It seems to have brought on some pain in lower back (near buttocks area), I don't know, I don't see anything too sinister listed in the side-effects. I am wondering if it's ok to take this one if you have PN??

Is there something safer/better or is this one ok??

Thank you
Aussie:)

Hello,
I always take probiotics when taking an antibiotic

Cephalosporins are not listed as problematic for people with PN that I know of.

This post describes drug induced PN...and gives some links with lists. Lists change however, with time. Some are old, some newer.
