tizantidine (zanaflex)
I started on 2mg of tizantidine last Wednesday at bedtime, and added another 2 mg yesterday in the morning. My question is whether or not any of you have experienced nausea with it? It was not bothering me when I was just taking it at bedtime. Yesterday I was nauseated and felt a bit out of it. I took it with food. I just took this mornings dose with my breakfast, but I was already mildly nauseated before I took it. I want to give this one a decent try, since baclfoen was not really helping much.
Also should I notice less spasticity right away or does it take a few days to start working. My leg may have been a tad less stiff. I thought I should notice it within a few hours based on its description. My neuro told me to call after taking it for two weeks, twice a day. |
I had mild nausea on it for about a week, and then it melted away.

No incidences of nausea from it for me, Barb. When I began taking it, I noticed it working, but I'm on 6mg 3x/day...it takes effect between 45 min and 1 hr. after I take it.
Give it a chance... |
He is starting me on a low dose, and then probably will increase it in two weeks if it has not helped much.

No nausea for me, Barb. Hopefully it works for you soon and the nausea goes away.

Not me, never had any nausea with it. I'm taking as many as 125 of those little doobies a month. I was on a Bac/Tiz rotation for a few years but also realized the Bac was no longer helping so I'm on Tiz only for now.
