Ivig.

So, as tonight winded down, i felt very weak, stomach hurts, left side of my mouth is droopy along with my eyelid, and its hard getting up the stairs to my dorm and get winded while walking/talking on the phone. Ive decided that even though Ill be very tired and IVIG may not be on my side (side affects) for a while i still need it. Im a college kid. Its not that I even want ot be able to stay up late, its that I hardly can get up for class, or hardly finish and email at the end of the night.

I called my doctor and left a message for her, she usually gets back to me very quickly. So i soon will know when Ill be starting this. Im not sure why the 60 mg of pred is making me weaker..

or not much stronger.

Hope you all are feeling okay.

Drats! I hate that you are having such challenges when you deserve to be enjoying your freshman year of college! But, it is what it is.

Perhaps the ivig will turn things around for you. I hope so.

Pls. keep us updated as you are able - and know that many folks here care very much about what happens to you. Be smart ... and be safe.

Sue

Thanks, Sue. I agree it is quite annoying yet I would rather be able to get up for class w the IVIG rather than not be able to brush my teeth at nite or get up the stairs in my dorm. I hope it works, and doesnt hurt my body too bad. Im really quite ready for it, my neuro hasnt called back yet but im hoping soon.

Thanks for your kind words.

Tyson,
IVIG really helps me a lot so I pray that it will do the same for you.

MG can be a life altering disease. I am so impressed that you are continuing to live your life by going to college in spite of MG. Pace yourself and try to get as much rest as you can. I know that can be very hard to do because you want to experience College life to the fullest but just remember to take it one hour at a time and stay as positive as you can.

Is this your first time getting IVIG? I can't remember because you have been having so many different problems that I have lost track.

Loving Hugs,
Shari

Hey Tyson,

Wow, as if you don't have to worry about enough with study. I hope your Dr comes up with help. Take care
Kate
