Lower back pain and antibiotics

I was on Keflex for a mild/moderate bladder infection but stopped it 2 days later because of lower back pain and other widespread muscle pain. I am on Clamoxyl Duo Forte now and with very first pill feeling lower back pain again. I am wondering if this is normal. I have only taken antibiotics once before in last 6 years that I recall and have no experience with them. These 2 are not on the list of antibiotics that cause PN or other issues similar. I have to get rid of this infection but unsure what could be going on.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Thank U,
Aussie

When bacteria die off, the release toxins into the blood stream.

Some people are less efficient in clearing these up, and get aches and pains. It is called a Herxheimer or Herx (for short) reaction.

Hello,
Besides PN I have prostate and bladder issues and have been on numerous antibiotics, but I have found taking Quercetin 500mg 2times aday has really helped, also took D-Mannose for 10 days. when taking antibiotics I also take a probiotic. Hope this helps and do your research before trying I'm not a Dr.

Thank you so much. That makes perfect sense! I also have experienced increased feeling of inflmmation and PN, so it makes alot of sense.
