do you mean "Airborne"?

These are effervescent tablets containing vitamins and a mixture of herbs, promoted to prevent upper respiratory infections.

What it has is high dose vit A and some C, and high dose zinc.
The herbal content is not high, and a typical mixture which none of those ingredients are listed for amount.

Our local TV station did an expose of the company that makes it.
The address listed on their product as the manufacturer, led to a ranch
type house in a subdivision somewhere.

Zinc, C, and A, can be taken by themselves, to improve immunity.
There are many papers that show they work, esp for zinc.

One thing that is worrysome is for pregnant women...they should not
take high dose Vit A, as this has been shown to cause birth defects.
Another is that people with autoimmune disease (MS, Lupus, etc) should not take Echinacea---however we do not know HOW MUCH Echinacea is in here, since that is not listed. Products that do not give herbal content for each, but lump them together, are deceptive.. and I never recommend them.
The glutamine/lysine amount (50mg) is listed for both...and both are below the therapeutic amounts of 500mg. Same for Ginger.. 550mg of ginger root is commonly the active ingredient for nausea, or controlling inflammation.

here are the ingredients:

Other Ingredients: Citric Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sorbitol, Potassium Bicarbonate, Orange Flavor, Mineral Oil, Sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium.
One can use the 3 major vits A C E.. daily for much less $$ than Airborne costs. The gimmick of effervescent tablets is novel here, raises the price.
The addition of Potassium Bicarb...is interesting because there is a product that does give relief from colds/allergies called TriSalts.
TriSalts contain bicarbonate which rapidly changes the pH of the blood temporarily and interferes with the bonding of histamine to its receptor.
Hence the expression of allergy is delayed. Environmental physicians use TriSalts (regular baking soda works, as well as original AlkaSeltzer) when a person gets an exposure to a known allergen in the office for testing, or in their outside exposures. This is NOT a CURE... but symptom relief.
So the dosage form of Airborne contains this feature.

The popularity of this product attests to the power of TV and Oprah!
Products like this sound good when you read the label, but but but.... you are often being bamboozled.
