Change in Weather, anyone else struggling?

We hear all the time about the hot/humid weather kicking off sx, but I am finding with the switch from hot to cold I am really tipsy, wobbly and struggling to stay on my feet. I am stiff, sore and sometimes am doing the frankenstein walk. I am experiencing quite a bit of spasticity and stiffness.

Am I alone in suffering in the cold? Hot saps my mental energy and makes me feel like drippy and floppy. Cold makes me stiff and unbalanced with such tight muscles.

Anyone else?

"I am stiff, sore and sometimes am doing the frankenstein walk. I am experiencing quite a bit of spasticity and stiffness."

Dejibo: That describes what is going on with me right now. To the T! ugh!! I thought the heat was bad. Not sure which is worse?

"Hot saps my mental energy and makes me feel like drippy and floppy. Cold makes me stiff and unbalanced with such tight muscles."

Dejibo: Going thru the same thing too.

What is up with this? My body feels literally like it is falling apart. grr...

Feel very unable to do anything. If I just clean up the kitchen- have to lay down for an hour. If I do more than that and over do it- I will end up paying for it the next day/evening.

Is this also happening to you too?

Yep......every change of season I go through this. We had such a miserable summer with the heat that I'm willing to tolerate this sx 'cos I know that cooler weather means more energy. It takes me a few weeks to get acclimated but after that I really enjoy the cooler (and cold) weather. Of course, cold weather here in GA and cold weather in NH are two different animals! ;)

To me Dej, it's another one of those flux months. warm to cold, back to warm, then back to cold and on and on.... This morn it was 41 degrees and soon it will be up to 70 and humid thru it all..

I feel the fatigue and unsteadiness with the weather changes, whether warm or cool. I do like the brisk fall air, the best, though, if it ever gets here to stay for awhile.

I don't like the bitter cold of January, but then, who does? :)

I feel your pain today, maybe tomorrow will be better..

I'm always stiff, sore, and spastic. That's just how I roll ~ sometimes literally :D.

Heat adds heavy fatigue, worsened dizziness, and profound lack of brain cells.

Cold helps ease up on those things. Now, don't get me wrong. I'll be complaining as loudly as anyone once we get below zero, but for me, anything above zero works...

I feel a little bit better now with the weather, but we havent had the really cold stuff hit us yet, it's just been pleasantly cool here the past week or two.

My allergies are bugging me, and I just discovered last week that I have a very mild heart condition, so the allergies are irritating that, and the heart condition is what I think is responsible for some of my MS symptoms acting up all summer. (heart condition caused me some edema. Think the edema is making MS numbness feel worse)

I'm sure once the really cold weather hits, I'll have a bunch of MS weirdness pop up. I'll be ok as long as we dont get the snowy, icy crap because I can no longer balance myself to walk across ice. Once we get snow and ice, I'm staying home and only going outside if I have to. As long as I have an internet connection and the UPS delivery people can get to my door, I'll be a happy camper shopping on the internet. All I need to do is see if any grocery stores in town will deliver groceries.

108F last week - almost immovable (legs, arms, hands, etc)
65F today - I can feel my toes!

The heat dismantles my wiring.

Ugh

Hi Vic--it's so nice to see you back! :D I hope your wife has recovered much of what she lost. Hope you are doing well too, aside from the temp issues. Take care! Natalie
