Thorasic outlet syndrome

My son is 16 and has been diagnosed with thorasic outlet syndrome. They are booking him for surgery on November 15. He is a competitive tennis player and has been unable to play due to his condition. Wondering about recovery from the surgery and curious how long before he will be able to compete again.
