New To Forum ~ Myoclonus
Does anyone know of a good Neuro doctor in the Riverside, CA area? I was dx with sleep myoclonus 2 years ago and it has been pretty much dormant for a long time but has been very active the past few weeks. I've moved since my last dx and do not know of any doctors in this area. I actually live near Hemet, CA. Thanks:confused:

Here's what I did. I went to google and typed "Neurologist in Hemet CA." Lots of names came up. Why not do that and begin from there. I know you asked if anyone knew a good doctor and if anyone does believe me they will answer your post., but until someone replies, why not try Google? Also, Google Riverside CA too!! I wish you well. By the way, my name is Melody and I just wanted to stop by and say hi. :) |
I'm not sure what you're talking about. Are you mixing up myoclonus with myoconus? I don't know what myoconus is but anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had a good neurologist for movement disorders as it is hard to find one. I have tried google and looking up movement disorders and neurologists and every other thing I can think of or I would not have asked for help. I have been to many doctors who don't care about the patient and who know nothing about movement disorders or sleep disorders or any of the problems I'm having so sometimes its easier to try to find people who have had some luck finding the doctor and can recommend one. I think my myoclonus has gone from sleep myoclonus to something more and I am concerned and wanted to see if anyone had a doctor in my area or if anyone was even in the CA or southern CA area. Anyway, I've put out the word with some of my friends through facebook and myspace so maybe I'll have some luck there.

Not sure if you've already found a neurologist in Hemet, but thought I'd tell you that I suffer from myoclonus (believed to be caused by Baclofen - a drug similar to Neurontin - withdrawals) and live in Temecula. My neurologist has been working with me for nearly two years to treat the myoclonus and try to figure out what's causing it. Her name is Dr. Pamela Alvarez of Valley Neurology in Murrieta, CA. Maybe she can help you??? Carrie o2bponca@gmail.com :) |
