Is it too soon .......scarring in?

:eek:could it be too soon to be actually scarring in, or maybe is the inflammation just settling down now and the incision sites 'healing' at last?

Well the reason I ask is that although I only can use one programme, not the recent ones btw, this one is one of the original ones, I just feel its emmmm doing a lot more, even if I change directions or bend over! isnt that odd....
I usually only have to move my head and it all disappears to my toes, or maybe sit a bit different and it changes stimulation. But today/yesterday Ive noticed that its 'staying' on a lot more even when I change position. How weird is that!! and Im only 11 weeks post surgery today....so maybe things are looking up at last yay!!!!.......lets hope I dont eat my words in a few days though:rolleyes:

:hug:Jackie, I think it makes sense that stimulation levels change as the leads scar in. I am so glad that you are getting more relief and I hope it continues. Remember, when the stimulation starts jumping into your stomach or middle or there is a lot of pressure (as you turn it up higher) and this pressure can be in the back or even in the stomach too, than that is the cue to get reprogrammed. A really funny thing is that as you heal or as I healed I found some programs worked or would get better while others I ended up not having relief at all. I also think it is so important when you are recovering to be careful with your movements since the leads have the most potential to move during this time ;) Even after my leads scarred in I would find that moving a certain way would cause change in my level of stimulation and also I have to have lower levels of stimulation for certain situations its just really messing around with it and figuring out your comfort zone ;) Well, I hope things continue to get better and good luck with everything! take care.

My rep. told me to be careful during the scarring in process as the scarring can be torn and have to reform. Unfortunately, at this point in order to get the relief I need in my lower back I have to put up with feeling it in my abdomen. My rep. called it the "band effect" and said that it may go away with time as things heal and he can tweak me...or it may just be something I have to get used to and live with. It's not bothersome other than feeling weird, so if I have to live with it to get the back pain covered, so be it.:winky:

My2 newest programmes give me that weird sensation in my stomach. Feels a bit like an elastic band pinging. And yes as you said Fiona if it's means putting up with that rather than pain, bring it on!! ;). Although at times if I need to turn it up it nearly has me bent in two with the stomach feeling so uncomfortable. So I rarely use those two now.

Tara I've 8 programmes at the moment and as you say I too have ones that do absolutely nothing. But then I've one, that wasn't doing anything either, has now started to make itself felt. So this is such a real learning curve. I'm hoping to fit in another reprogramming session before Christmas and hopefully get the female rep whom I had the last time because she was excellent. And if this is the start of my scarring in then I'm hopeful that we will be able to tweak it a bit tighter again. :)

Hi Jackie .. Blimey I see I have an awful lot to go through in the months ahead. I can't wait to snuggle under the duvet tomorrow morning with my I Pod Touch and read through all these threads.
