I thought, even though technically her birthday was yesterday on her side of the world, over here it's still Koala's birthday, so we'll need a party. :D (and yes I also realise that there are two other happy birthday Koala threads in other places, but we need one here so :p)

My daughter came to visit (from another state) and she was notified yesterday that she's been awarded the new job she applied for..... in the same state I live in. :yahoo:

I am so excited! She'll be living only about 3 hours drive from where I am now, so we will be able to visit each other regularly. This will be the first time in around 15 years that we've lived in the same state, and up until now, have had to do with once/twice per year visits.

Our eldest son and his wife are expecting their first child, so we have another grand-baby due early next year. :D

It's spring here and the weather is glorious at the moment. My DD and DH are taking me out today to continue my birthday celebrations, so I have been spoilt rotten. :wink:

I consider myself very privileged to have such a wonderful group of people in my life. I have received birthday greetings from friends all over the world, including some from people I met here on NT.... thank you! :)

All in all, this has been one of my best ever birthdays and I thank you for being a part of it. :grouphug:
