Question for those who take Stalevo

How long does it take for you to notice the Stalevo is working? I notice a difference in 5-10 minutes. My new neuro says it can't work that fast.

I don't know the answer to your question but clearly your neuro doesn't either. It "CAN'T work that fast?" How does he know? I bet if you asked him to explain the specific mechanisms by which Stalevo works and the particular receptors it targets, he would not be able to do it.

Sorry, but his/her comment ticks me off. If YOU notice a difference, that's all that matters in my book. Everyone is different. If you are lucky enough to find something that helps, hallelujah! I hope it continues to work like this for you.

Stavelo

Hi Chicory,
have never had Stavelo work that fast, it is normally around 30 to 50 minutes. However, as Lurking says, we are all different, and it may work that fast for you.
Ron.

Ditto Ron

I'm like Ron - 30-50 minutes AND I have to take it on an empty stomach. For me, eating ANYTHING interferes with my pd meds' efficacy.

Like the others, it take me 30-60 mins approximately to get going, I am not on stalevo, but taking the same components separately.

I wonder how you are taking them. I take mine with some kind of carbonated drink, it works faster that way, and still have a fairly slow response - but wouldn't rule out a fast response in someone else, especially on an empty stomach.... there are lots of variables.....
