Want to die from pain
Hello I am new here and I am glad I have finally found a place where I can talk to people who won't think I am crazy Yes I have MP and have had going on two years now I am taking morphine, vicodin, soma, zoloft, and neurotin and none of it helps. This has affected my whole way of living it even almost broke up my marriage. The doctors want me to try some stimulant implant in my spine not to sure about that has anyone done that yet it so I would love some feedback on it thanks. Also the doctors here in Texas that I see won't do surgery and I am not sure why they won't but I think I am gonna have to lay the law down and demand it hell I am the one who has to pay for it, I have also been wondering if my hysterectomy surgery could have brought this on since I was cut in my abdomen that is the only thing I can think of I know I am rambling on but this is so frustrating sometimes I just wish they would cut my leg off and be done with it:mad:

Malinda,
http://dl5.glitter-graphics.net/pub/...zl8k1fkhwd.gifWelcome to NT. I am so sorry for the pain you are in. I wasn't familiar with MP so googled and found this: http://www.spinepainny.com/outer-thigh-pain.php Not sure if this is what you are suffering from but it sounds very painful. I am hoping if you stay persistent, they will find something to do for you to help. WE also have a Chronic Pain forum that might be of assistance: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum10.html Hopefully someone will come on who can give you some better advice. All I can do is give you some :hug::hug:
Best Wishes, Friend |
Welcome to NeuroTalk.
We have an MP forum here: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum76.html and some threads have posts from me like this one: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/post673616-2.html This condition can be misdiagnosed too. Here is a useful link to thigh pain: Has some nice clear illustrations: http://www.aafp.org/afp/20000401/2109.html |
Welcome aboard!!!

hi and welcome to NT,
i'm glad you found us. i'm sorry that you're suffering from so much pain. i hope your drs can help you and things get better. i'm glad you got some forum links. we're a great bunch of people here. hope we can help too. |
I have chronic pain and feel I have lost myself, become emotionally numb trying to bear it day after day ( that and the breathing difficulty). But your story was harder than mine as I saw your details. I wanted to think of a way to help.
It feels small but all I can do is say I am so glad you came here. Share everything and anything. I keep a journal and if I didnt have that to dump so many things in every day I know it would be worse. There is a change that happens when a person can get things out of their head and out into the world in some way. I am sending you gentle thoughts and hope for a kind and good medical person to find better answers for you. Annie59 |

You mentioned something about a spinal stimulator that your doctor is recommending and I just wanted to let you know there is a whole sub-forum here on the discussion of these implants (Spinal Cord Stimulators/Pain Pumps) Here is the link to get you to this part of the forum...it's very active and full of folks who have got these implants http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fo...ysprune=&f=118 and from what you've described, it sounds as though you may stand a good chance at getting some much needed pain relief, especially if your meds aren't working....... Wishing you the best, Rae  |
Hi Rrae ~ I'm a spiney and chronic painer and I have had the spinal cord stimulator ~ I had it implanted for 6 months, but due to other problems I had to have it removed. But I can tell you that it HAS been a live saver for THOUSANDS of people!!! First you have a trial period so you can see if it will work for you. If it does work, then they go ahead and implant it. It is worth trying ~ you could get your life back, and not have to take as many meds. You will still need some medictions, but not as many.
I'm so sorry you're suffering so much. Why not give the stimulator trial a try? I would if I were you. I wish you the very best of luck!! I hope it works for you. God bless and take care. Hugs, Lee :) |
