Not the Birthday I Expected
 

Hi Guys,

I had a doctor's appointment today, which is my birthday. Who cares, right? Well, at least I'm still here to have one........birthday, not doctor's appointment. :rolleyes:

My doctor looks at me, ask how am I doing and follows up with, "I see you've progressed since our last visit." I'm sorry, did I have a choice? If so, I would have gotten a cure before the visit. :rolleyes:

He then ask me if I saw a need to continue and see the two specialists? I said I liked them both, they were up front and very good at what they do but no, why see them again. He says, "Good because both of their notes indicate there is nothing they can do for you and released you back to me." So we agree on further treatment. :eek:

What does it tell you when a doctor in a very busy, hospital affiliated, family practice walks you out to your car, helps you load your power scooter in the trunk, gives you a big hug and pat on the back, EACH TIME YOU LEAVE? I like to think I have one hell of a great PCP. That's what I think!

We have completed all the necessary medical documentation and sent it to the cruise line medical department. They then forward it to the ships medical staff. I report to them when I board. I told my doctor no big deal, if anything happens on the cruise I know they have big refrigeration and freezer compartments so I won't miss anything and they don't have to give me a refund. I'll just leave with the baggage. :p

Well, sleep challenges haunt me every night so I am going to crash for my normal 3 hours and cycle again. That's why some of you may notice my postings at 2:30 AM in the morning. I'll keep you informed.

Really, what else can we do but find the humor in our everyday situations? I know I'd go loopy if I didn't laugh at some of the predicaments I find myself in. :rolleyes:

Sounds like your cruise is coming up soon. I really hope you and your wife have a wonderful time. I hope you'll share some of the pictures with us when you get home. :)
