rickshaw!

Well, I'm pretty cameral shy, but I thought you would all appreciate this:

It's the rickshaw my husband made for me. I am really reluctant to get a wheelchair, for reasons I'm sure you all understand. My husband, a wonderful do-it-yourself-er/handy-man/jimmy-rigger, had this idea. I think it's because in a rickshaw I'm a princess, not an invalid.

He made it of stuff he had around--an old lawn chair, bicycle wheels, etc. Its maiden voyage will be trick-or-treating tomorrow night with the kids. He took me on a practice run around the block, and it's very comfortable. Plus the slight tilt means I can see the stars.

I may not be a real princess, but I'm married to a real prince!

Abby, That is so frickin' cool!!! You guys should actually patent and market that. It's awesome. I don't think my dog could pull me around though, since he's the only "man" in my life at the moment. ;)
