My music...

Michael has managed to get some of my music on the site for you to listen to if you feel you can bear it...lol
For those who aren`t familiar with my plan...I am hoping to compile a cd of my compositions to raise money for the Parkinsons Disease Fund. I am afraid I am not a technical wizard so I am still learning the art of the "recording"process so please forgive any blips.I sincerely hope that what is lacking on the technical side,is compensated for,by the emotions I have attempted to convey through my work.

If you go to my other thread, and then down to Michaels post..you just have to click on the titles to listen to the score.
Now Michael.....he is the technical genius.I am in awe.

Hoping you are moved.

Steffi:
You hit a nerve with your compositions. ALL THAT I AM reminds me of the music they played in the ashram while doing Yoga and CELEBRATION is the perfect music for RIVER DANCE. My best to your talent.

Thank you

...for all the encouraging words.I am taking a break from editing another work.My fingers are having "time out" and I am learning to deal with the frrustration. But as I said to someone else...instead of getting my hair off...I am using this time wisely and reflecting and mulling over stuff.Every second is like a precious drop of rain and I try to catch the entire lot!

I am priveleged to share my music with a bunch of folk like you.Yes...I want you to find it pleasurable,of course I do.It means you are kicking my butt into gear to do my little bit for our cause...and your words are driving me.
But most importantly for me,I so hope that the message comes through that PD doesn`t mean we are useless...past our sell by date.
We all have something to offer...just needs a little bit of direction and folk to reinforce that you "CAN do it."
And boy...am I going to DO IT. YOU BET I AM.

My favourite quote..."out of the ashes, rises a perfume"
Not saying that I`m Gucci standard yet,you realise...a long way to go...but if we all find that perfume within us...and use it....boy are we going to be a sweet smelling site.

Thank you so much

Wow...look what i`ve just read

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=936

Just been on Tena`s stress thread and the above was in the little "similar thread" boxes below.
Music therapy!!!!!!

Well yes..I was aware that folk listen to music for all kinds of reasons...including relaxation but it made me think about how I would compile my cd.
I am just writing all kinds of stuff at the minute...lively,peaceful,dances,worship songs and yeah....was just going to cram them all on a cd.
BUT...
What do you reckon would benefit Pd people who might buy it..not simply the folk who would be generous enough to buy a copy to stick on their shelf.
What would benefit you folk? A cd of total relaxation stuff.
A mixture...? what?
Any ideas would be gratefully received and duly considered.
If you read the above link, there seems to be a definate criteria for the content of a cd intended for therapy....so..what`s it to be?
Head banging or soothing?
Thanks you guys.

Well....

if it were head banging, we would quickly knock ourselves out and in an unconscious state I suppose we would be relaxed. On the other hand, if it were all soothing, we would soon bewcome bored and fall asleep from lack of interest. But then again, if it were a mix of the two, we would knock ourselves out during the head banging and sleep through the soothing. I guess it will all work ....lol

Thanks Michael...my mentor

A mixture it is then....You all best get ready for the "mosh pit"..is that what they call it when crowds of so called sensible folk lose the plot and jump up and down oblivious to the folk they are knocking out!!!
My goodness..I don`t wish to be responsible for THAT...
Then again...I could be really mischievious and lull you all into a sense of peace and well being with 2 or 3 gentle songs and then CRASH....bring some Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols stuff in to wake you all up .
Nope..love you all too much.
