the earthquakes
okay, I get the vibrations or electric shocks but has anyone else had the sensation when they are walking where the ground suddenly feels as if there is an earthquake happening. It causes me to fall into walls or grab onto furniture to steady myself. This one usually scares the beejees out of me. And, its even scarier when no one around me felt the same thing-so I assume its just another one of those bizarre sx.

Nope, not when I'm walking. Or maybe -- sometimes I'm too dizzy to know!
But I used to think I was extra-sensitive to small earthquakes while lying in bed. I knew they had to be small, cuz nothing else was moving or shaking except me, lol! Then I got dxed with MS and figured it out. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this issue. Best wishes to you, Tresa. |
Sometimes I feel like I'm walking on one of those swinging bridges. You know how it still feels like you're on it even after to walk off? I get that sensation quite often especially first thing in the morning. It's not so bad now that I've been on LDN for quite a while but it used to be constant.
We've got our own built in amusement park! :D |
I've had exactly what you're describing. Not sure what causes the sensation, but I just hold on and let it pass. Then tell myself I'm glad I don't live in an area where this occurs because of the ground:rolleyes:
I know these types of sensations can be scary...just try to notate it in your symptom journal so you have it notated when you see your doc. then ask about it... |
I used to tell DH the earth sometimes reared up and threw me down. Is it called vertigo? I'm always dizzy to a point, but am in a chair all the time now and never get Vertigo. In bed sometimes I sometimes/not often feel something shake. Is it me? But then DS reported the same thing one time and it was true, MD had a little earthquake, as it sometimes does but no one feels it. I think I feel bugs on me, but nothing is there. But then I sometimes look and it really is a sugar ant or spider. I don't know.

OK . . . now I can stop worrying that I have been imagining things . . .

Laughing way out loud
You guys responses really crack me up. The first time it happened to me I was with my son and his wife. I fell into the wall. After, what I thought was an earthquake, I turned in a panic and asked my son if they felt that.
Of course, they gave me the look of ignorance and I was not about to tell them! They might write me off as crazy. So I just pocketed it as a very strange thing. Well, it happened again, just as I was getting out of a friends car. I couldnt help myself as I screamed, "Oh, no! We're having an earthquake!" My friend burst out laughing...I mean...we live in Kansas...not california. So, I threw it out to you guys...I KNEW I wasn't crazy! MSers DO get earthquakes! Thanks a million. Just knowing others have felt those EQ's makes me feel better. |
