Precious moments

Hey! I just thought we could start a thread where we could all share photos of ourselves and moments which we think are precious or holds a special meaning to us. =) Just to brighten up our days and to let us have something to look forward to. We could also get to share more about ourselves and our loved ones! :grouphug:

For a start, I'm announcing the arrival of Joie, my first niece! She was born on 7th November 2010. Currently 3 days old. Taken the day she was born!

3 days later. She loves sticking her little tongue out! Even while sleeping!

Hey, Connie. What a little sweetheart! I love the tongue sticking out. I always stuck mine out whenever I would draw.

This is a great idea, Connie, thanks.

Here's my dog Teddy. We both spend as much time looking out the window on the porch, watching the birds, squirrels, owls and lots of other animals and people at the park. I make a point of taking that time every day to simply look around, breathe air in and enjoy nature. We've seen everything from minks to pileated woodpeckers to wild turkeys.

He's got some inflammatory process going on right now, mainly affecting his eyes, so he's taking up most of my time. He's absolutely the sweetest shih tzu.

This is such a nice idea. All the photos are precious.

I wish I could post some, my laptop had a major meltdown the other day. All my photos are now in computer limbo. I hope they can be recovered.

Thank you both for sharing the things that bring such joy and happiness.

This one is of Sheba and my husband one morning on the dock on vacation. She is politely asking him for a morning treat.
Sheba had to be put to sleep last month, for sudden kidney failure, and that really was hard for me! I am still not over it.
She was 24. :Sob:

AnnieB3: I dont know how you got your thumbnail to appear so nicely, I had a hard time! Lol.. Cute Shih tzu, is everything ok with him now?? hugs!

Rachel: waiting for yours! Lol.. Or.. take some new pictures!

MrsD: awww. Hugs! Sorry to hear about Sheba's passing, wow 24. I don't know much about bird's ages, but I do know how difficult it is to let them go after so long.

I'll post more pics when I get home!

I think Sheba was a beautiful cat-child of Mrs. D.

OMG! Am sorry MrsD! I'm not sure what happened, but I vaguely recall seeing a green bird in the picture. I think I'm confused or hallucinating. So very sorry!!

Poetist: Thanks for pointing it out! *embarrassed*

Rachel: pics pics pics! More!

The hummingbird in my siggie has been there since I returned home from vacation. He was on my clothes line up there! I probably will put him back after the new year (I'll have holiday stuff in the siggie until then).

I had Sheba on my siggie for a week, but it was too painful for me to see all the time. So she is in my albums on my profile.

I just found the avatar picture in my files from 2007 when she didn't look so old... so I put that up recently.

Don't fret, I understand.

Her passing was very painful for me, even though we knew she didn't have much longer...she lived an exceptionally long life for a cat.
She still got around and could see, hear, and respond as usual. It was just her kidneys that failed. So we had to put her to sleep. She is now buried in our yard, under some trees and ivy and spring flowers.
