I have this cold, stunned feeling. I'm just frightened.

Every where I turn I hear bad news, and future worries. I just heard some more news, and I feel cold, emotionally scared, and tired of it all. I just feel stunned. I just don't know what will happen. I felt bad before, and I feel worse now. BF:Sigh::Noooo::icon_redface::Dunno:

I'm so sorry you have so many worries right now, BF.

I can relate because I've had a lot on my plate recently as well. I'm really trying to distract myself and take it day by day.

Please hang in there!

Dear Steve,
turn off the tv for now if this is where the bad news came from...
I am sorry that your worrying is acting up.

Dear Steve

sending you a warm reassuring (((hug))) and safe vibes. :circlelove:

sometimes i get into states where the world feels ominous, threatening... you sound similarly sensitive right now.

when i'm like that outside stimuli, especially news.... that is supposed to "factual accounts" ... unfortunately a lot of news is sensationalistic and done in a way to keep us keep watching... they push our buttons on purpose. it sucks. and commercials ... same thing.

i agree with bizi, don't watch tv right now.

also what i would suggest is focusing on physical comfort. do all the five senses.

- touch different things:
-- pet your kitty cat. notice the softness of her fur. notice her breathing and warmth.
-- touch a warm blanket. squeeze part of it in your hand and notice the give. notice the softness.
-- touch a piece of wood or wooden furniture. notice the smoothness, or roughness of the wood, and any uneven spots in it.

- taste
-- sip water, or a some warm tea. eat a piece of bread. keep it simple. notice the wetness of the water, the texture of the bread, the taste, or lack of it.

- look at things
--- trees outside, maybe changing colors
--- again your kitty cat... focus on her face, her eyes, ears. how graceful a kitty cat is.

- hear things
--- noice the creatures outside might be making
--- the sound of the heating system if it is on
--- the sound of the wind or rain

- smell
--- a mild piece of soap or bubble bath, shampoo
--- spices... pick one that you like. cinnamon?
--- the pages an old book. these have a peculiar, old, strangely comforting smell. like something that is and always will be.

FINALLY:

wrap your arms around yourself, and squeeze. right - give yourself a hug. feel the safety of a hug. consider it on all of our behalf. :grouphug:

check in from time to time, when you can. and remember to breathe gently.

I thank you all

I had that heavy fealing in the upper part of my stomach area, and it radiated toward my upper left body area. Then I felt a little better. Then I suddenly felt just absolute torment in my mind. That's where I am now,but it's gotten a little better. The news was the trigger, and I'm going to bypass the news tonight.

I thank you all for the advise. I'm going back to read the advise that you all gave me.

This condition is not easy to explain. I thank you all for the comfort, and advise. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I was reading Psalms today and what was constantly repeated was to trust God...i don't know if that will help

My emotional pain from the torment in my mind came to a unpleasant point. I knew that it was mental, but it almost felt as bad as the physical headaches. I don't know how to explain it.

This also happens in my chest. I would feel troubled, and have a pain type of feeling in my chest, and sometimes the pain will become a physical pain, and tight muscles in my chest. I just don't know. BF:hug::hug::grouphug:

I feel better. I don't know why this emotional twister was more intense then usual. Gosh! BF:confused:
