I am a graduate student at Cornell University working on a project aimed to better understand foot pain management in patients with peripheral neuropathy. I think this forum provides a wonderful support network for people suffering from neuropathy-related pain. I hope to get a chance to chat with some of you!

The support here is fantastic, and the PN forum is chalked FULL of wonderful folks!
Make sure you take a gander at the top of the page while you are at the Peripheral Neurpathy forum.....it has lots of information in the PN tips, supplements, etc .. section.

I guess I qualify for what you describe. I am not a diabetic but have peripheral neuropathy in my feet. Have tried most of the recommended treatments from neurontin down to topical rubs. The only relief that I have had at all is a product called Briofreeze; it is an OTC jel and does well for what it is in reducing the burning pain. Neuropathy and its nerve killing effects has now gotten worse to the point that I am taking more desperate measures. Tomorrow afternoon I will have a trial inserted for a Spinal Cord Stimulator. I have been hearing that is can provide a great deal of relief although it, of course, does nothing for fixing the problem but it might mask the pain and make it possible to live with it. I'll take what I can get as this thing has absolutely ruined my life. I'll know more tomorrow but if you have any questions about this terrible affliction I'll be glad to try to answer them for you.
