Game Shows

I remember staying home from school sick as a child and watching game shows on TV, as well as the ones on in the evening. Later on, there were others my folks seemed to be "addicted" to. Truth or Consequences, Password, the Price is Right, Match Game, Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and so on.

We watch the "tail end" of the Price is Right because it comes on right before the noon news. I used to watch ALL the time when I was a stay at home mom. Now it kind of drives me crazy, because of all the noise and commotion. I like Drew Carey better than I had expected to. And in the Showcase I ALWAYS root for whichever one is in uniform.

I like Jeopardy, but it seems as though there's seven minutes of Jeopardy and twenty-three minutes of commercials. I also think Alex Trebek is classy. Well, except when he's trying to sell me insurance. :D

Do you watch any game shows?

I used to be addicted to a bunch of them. I don't know...either all of them changed from exciting to boring or I did:D, because I find them all a big noisy bother, now.

The reality shows, with a few exceptions, are all starting to annoy me too.

I must be a crotchity old fart, now. LOL!:D

I do watch some of them.....but always have the remote in hand because as soon as one of the screaming, spastic, hyperventilating contestants flies up on stage I change the channel. I just cannot tolerate the screaming and "drama". Mostly this happens on TPIR. I love Drew Cary as the host. He's a hoot.

I've gotten sort of bored with Wheel of Fortune. We get The Game Show Network as part of our cable lineup and they have a few good games on there. I like Lingo but Chuck Woolery and the blonde dingbat who's job it is to call out the letters (????how do you get a job like that????) get a little annoying.

I guess I'm getting like Sally.........old and crochity. Well, I'm not as old as Sally but I'm getting there! :p
