Just put 13yro old in the hospital last Thursday

Hi all. My name is Shawna and I just put my daughter in a mental hospital last Thursday. This has been the hardest decision I have made thus far as a parent. I am still not convinced I made the right choice but I had no where else to turn. All the docs I called couldn't see her for a month to 2 months away. I hope to find peace of mind and peace of heart.

Hi Shawna

so sorry to read what brought you here. I cannot imagine how hard this must have been for you. I hope the doctors in the hospital are able to determine what is wrong and give effective treatment so that she can soon be home with you

May I ask if she has a history of strep? I am involved with volunteer work related to children, and there appears to be growing evidence related to strep and other microbes, and even Lyme Disease from tickbites, causing neuropsychiatric illness in susceptible kids, that often manifest as extreme mental health issues. Feel free to contact me if you would like any more info on this.

I pray things will get much better for your daughter:hug:

Hello Shawna and Welcome!!!

Your amazing strength touches my heart.

You may not feel as though you have made the right choice at the moment. But you have made the right choice .

Please know that loving your child enough to get them help of any kind is the right choice to do at any time. No matter what kind of help. No matter when. No matter what moment.

One or two month wait to see a doctor is not an option when our children are hurting.

Welcome, and sending good vibes to your daughter.

I can tell you point blank that you made the right choice to help her.

I would like to let you know I had to do this too at one time.
