Symptom relief

Well, not 100% but somewhat! Last week I was in the Florida keys for a week visit. The first couple of days were pretty rough, really bad cramping in my feet and affected side, but after a really good massage the rest of the week was lovely, even with a lot of driving, walking and the usual vacation stressors. I still had my symptoms but they didn't bother me as much. Normally we are at 4500 ft (northern AZ) and last week at sea level..I am wondering if that would have anything to do with feeling so much better? Anyone else notice an improvement in symptoms if they go to sea level?

Hi EmptyNest,

Didn't MJF say he felt much better in high elevation when he went to the Himalayas - opposite of what you experienced? I live at 450' of elevation and live 2.5 hours away from the Atlantic - never noticed a difference although I found margaritas/toes in the sand helped the psychy. When I biked across Iowa this past July, we had one day of 3687 feet of climb - I KNOW I surely didn't feel as good as MJF did in the Himalayas - maybe I should have kept climbing.:thud:

Glad to hear you recovered in time to enjoy the trip.

MJF and symptom relief in Himalayas

Husband's Tai Chi master maintains MJF's relief was due to the constant chanting the indigenous people do in the Himalayas. that it had to do with vibrations and sound. i thought that an interesting explanation. I can not reconcile lower Oxygen levels at higher elevations with decrease in PD symptoms, though anything is possible. Perhaps its the lower barometric pressure at higher elevations. just noodling here. madelyn
