Hyper Sexuality?

Now that i have your attention! i know generally Epilepsy sufferers have the opposite problem, but since reading "Seized", i'm sure there must be more stories (that no one generally shares) about Hypersexuality and TLE? Is it more common than we think? how does it affect you?

Hi redloui,

Sometimes when a person has TLE their personal life isn't that active because of the AED's they take and the area of the brain that's being effect and causing sz. ex. the right temporal lobe can cause a person to show more emotions for some people and sometimes a person can't feel as much physically. I spoke with my neurosurgeon and he has told me that sometimes after a person has brain surgery to stop or reduce the seizures a person may become more excited sexually and they can feel more than they ever had before. This in turn causes them to be more excited in their personal life with their spouse. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You!

Sue
