symptoms issues, agony
So my spring was great and my summer was great, but it all turned downhill.
I recently have been having chest pain and other related issues. and was looking for what i would hoped to find a forum on heart disease or other related problems, but i could not find it. I went to my doctor, and told him my array of symptoms. he wants to get a catscan of my chest to be sure. but thinks it is neuromuscular related i guess. well here is my array of symptoms. it started out with measly dose of trazodone and a discontinuation of lyrica. Now before, on the apotec generic brand of trazodone i was fine. But now the pliva brand is like some sort of hell created, crack brand. So at night i took the dose of the new pliva crud. and i end up having these fluttering or palpitating type heart symptoms. like palpitations. and so the next day i just move on. Now, during the day i have these squeezing type chest pain symptoms, it would be almost like my heart jumped out of my chest and into my throat. and so the pain would just radiate towards my left shoulder and my neck. These were very distressing for me, as i know left sided chest pain is bad. so i went to the doctor. i told him my symptoms of trouble breathing short of breath, and all the other ones. he says he will set up a catscan for me, but not one time, does he give me anything for the chest pain. so i leave there utterly frustrated. he said to me take tylenol. so that's what im going to do in the meantime. and also in the last month i restarted the lyrica, only to find that it worked, but didn't take away all the chest pain i had been having from my problems. one other note, is the artery/vessel, that is in your neck and goes up to your temples or temporal area. consistently spasms, every now and then. that is also troubling. not to mention i barely sleep now. ever since i stopped taking lyrica, it has been a downward spiral. and going back on the stupid stuff didn't help either, uggghh i just feel terrible, the worst i have felt in about a year. |
Hi ~ I would cut back on the Pliva or cut it out completely and see what happens. It would seem that you're having some kind of reaction to it. Your doctor SHOULD have ordered an EKG !!!
You probably should ask if you could cut back on it, but if it were me, I'd just do it. lol Some people can't tolerate the Generics and must have the Name brand. It has to do with the inactive ingredients. If you see any improvement, you'll know it was the Pliva. If you DON'T, then you definitely need an EKG. But I suspect it's the Pliva. Best of luck, and let us know what happens, will you please??? God bless. Hugs, Lee ;) |

Apotex manufacturing got into trouble and had to close it's facilities for poor quality control.
It is possible your old version was faulty and lower in dose than you thought. The newer one may be accurate so you are getting more than you think. Trazodone IS an SSRI and will elevate serotonin in people (only weaker than other SSRIs). Serotonin can cause nausea or spasms in the stomach since it is a neurotransmitter in the GI tract for motility. What dose do you have? 50mg? You could cut in half and see if the feelings go away. If higher I wouldn't take any. I see on your siggie you use albuterol inhaler? Overuse and frequency of this can cause bronchoconstriction, which is felt as pressure in the chest and difficulty breathing. This is a common side effect of albuterol when it is used for a long time, or if you take too many puffs too often, OR you use poor technique and put that inhaler in your MOUTH... When you do that you spray directly onto the mucus membranes in the mouth and absorb a jolt of drug which then goes straight to the heart. Proper technique is to hold the inhaler in front of your lips, and spray that way. A spacer helps, and if you don't have one, you can cut one from an empty toilet paper tube. http://www.pcca.net/ProperUseofInhalers.htm Some new types of inhalers are actuated by sucking on the mouthpiece... but plain old albuterol is not one of these. |

I do happen also to have a spacer. and i did look into techniques of using inhalers carefully before i actually started using them, . now i only use them with care, only because i had an issue with the proair inhaler. the proair(red) inhaler woudl make me really nervous, and my breath or breathing would actually really become wicked weezy when i was on that one. it's weird that proventil is so much different. irregardless, i use techniques like rinsing your mouth out to get some of the excess medicine out of your mouth after using the actuator. i actually even sometimes spray the air outside of my mouth, or four inches away so as to not really pump too much medication in there. at most i take 1-2 puffs anyways, you're supposed to take 2-4 puffs. but i only take 1 or 2. and i only use it once every day or couple of days. things are pretty bad, but only get better every 3 or 4 days when i actually get some rest, and am not out working. people generally don't have poor responses to drugs, unless the manufacturer needs careful monitoring. but there is one company besides pliva, which always, i mean always give me trouble is....mylan. mylan is by far the worst generic brand of anything that i have ever taken. doxepin-mylan brand, terrible. lopressor-mylan brand, terrible. inderal -mylan brand, terrible. klonopin- mylan brand terrible. ativan- mylan brand- almost the worst drug ive ever taken. i really don't see the reason why mylan actually is a well-respected generic brand manufacturer. maybe because they do things really cheap. who knows, i would like to make a forum message dedicated to my disliking of mylan but i dont see the reason to. |
