B12 Question........

I am not B12 deficient (758). I would assume it would not be advisable to take a supplement in this case, is this correct?

At this point, that decision is up to you.

I have in the B12 thread a copy of Dr.Snow's paper, which was the turning point, in B12 therapy and diagnosis for medical doctors.

Quote:

Five patients with normal serum Cbl levels had neurologic disease, and 1 of the 5 had a level greater than 221 pmol/L (300 pg/mL). All 5 patients had a clinical neurologic response to Cbl therapy and normalization of metabolite levels.
Please read that paper, from the link I gave. In essence it was Dr. Snow's opinion, that some people may continue to have neuro problems even when testing in the normal range.
Treating these with B12 was suggested by him, therefore. It may be that some people just need MORE than others. B12 is not something that is expensive or dangerous, so you can do this yourself.

If you decide to take the B12, you should see some improvements within 3 months or so to guide you.
