Prevent Perpheral Neuropathy

If you must take Taxol is there any way to prevent Perpheral Neuropathy?

Yes, there are some studies suggesting acetyl carnitine during chemo, and after to help.

There is also a drug but I don't know how effective it is.

You'd have to ask your doctor about that.

Another thing very good for breast cancer patients is flax oil taken with cottage cheese (high in sulfur compounds).

I knew a woman from work who did very well with this, and didn't have much chemo side effects.
Also a poster here has had experience with the flax oil/cottage cheese preventing metastases:
This thread discusses it:

~Pansy~ comes on at the end, with her experiences.

My mother was taking Neurotin when she was going through the taxol chemo treatments. It seemed to help her.
