I'm here again with another question

I'm here to pick your brain again regarding my Mom. Her doctor says she has 'calcification in the nerve channels compressed'. She comes to me because I was an RN before MS. I know mostly nothing about orthopedic or neurological problems except MS. Can anyone help me? What does this mean.

Is hers at certain levels of the spine ?

I don't have a copy of her last myelogram but I know she has severe spinal stenosis, severe degenerative arthritis in the lumbar, caudal and sacral areas. she has severe neuropathy in her legs and hands and in the last month her ability to walk has gone down tremendously due to pain and inability to move her leg.

Conservative treatment could include PT, spinal stability exercises, traction, medrol dose pack, interlaminar epidurals, chiropractic, accupuncture, transforaminal epidurals. There are other things as well. If her condition was bad enough and her health good enough, she could explore upon her doctors recommendation surgical decompressive options like discectomy, fusion, laminectomy, laminotomy, etc., It really depends upon her individual and unique findings that her and her doc have discussed...
