Nevada grl-

Have you applied for Social Security Disability yet? If you haven't, once you are approved, you will want to sign with them for Medicare. It is excellent insurance, and the premium comes directly out of your check each month. And sometimes, if you are of limited income, your state gvmnt. (public aid office)- will pay the premiums. That is the easiest way to get insurance through your state also. They have a state issued ins. called Medicaid that, if you qualify, will pay the 20% that Medicare doesn't cover. I went to the hospital recently, and my bill, just for the emergency room, and ambulance was $3,000.00. Want to know what my portion was after Medicare? $150.00.
Talk about excellent insurance!

Hope I helped some,

Hi Mandy and welcome.

Pop on over to the Epilepsy section HERE and hopefully if we all put our heads together we can help you find a doctor or give you tips on looking.

Not to brag, but we're pretty good at sharing tips and stories, too. :)

*Hugs*

Hi Nevada Girl,
First off, sorry about what's happening to you.

In California we have an Indigent program. Basically, it means you have no money to pay for health care. Once you are on the program, they will pay for the cost of your health-care. You can try going to the local clinic where your at and see if Nevada has something similar to this. It can't hurt trying right?

Good Luck, and let us know what happens.
