little freak out this morning....
It is a fact that when I go to the bathroom one of my cats will nudge open the door to visit if I don't really close the door and hear it click shut.
So When I took a shower I wanted some privacy for sure so I really shut the door hard. After my shower I went to open the door and could not open it...I started to panic, I pushed and pushed and turned the knob over and over again, started imagineing myself locked in my bath room all day and started to panic....almost took a klonipin but stopped and thought a minute and tried the lock...I never use the lock on the door. WEll sure enough when I shut the door I inadvertantly locked it. What a relief to get out of the bathroom. great way to start the day. bizi |
I am so glad that it resolved that fast. How scary, I had a door knob spin and spin when the youngest was little and stuck in the bathroom. I had to have the son help me take the knob off. Good thing she was not too paniced. We told her it would take 5 minutes, and it was a bit more but she ended up a trooper. Now, I think she would barge the door off the hinges to get out asap.
Hope your day is better now, di  |
I think a ghost locked the door while I was in the shower.....!

Something like that has happened to me,but I can't remember when. I know what you mean about all these thought that come to mind when in the middle of the problem. Believe me I know. I've had panic attacks during many times in my life, and have freaked out over many things. I hope that you feel better, and I'm glad that you got out of the door. If It happens again, kick the right side of the door knob as hard as you can,and the door may go flying open. Have a locksmith look at that door. BF:hug::hug::hug: |
The other day we were on our way to the store, one of the rare times my husband could get out, it was like 20 degrees out, I locked the door, walked out, shut the door, stuck my hand in my pocket, no keys... lol luckily we live next to his parents and they had a spare key, but I was in a panic!

Btw, off the subject, Klonopin works for you? It does nothing for me :(
|
I am petrified of locking myself inside or out of some place.
I am supposed to carry my cell phone with me everywhere when no one else is home. But I often forget.... It wouldn't do me any good any way... There are no spare keys to anything around here... the house, the bathroom, my bedroom... none. Abbie |

Hi bizi, nothing worse that being locked in or out. Glad you got out. I was stuck in an elevator in kansas city years ago for about two hours. I was furious and scared and all alone! Yes I screeched and loundly with some not so kind words..............loudly.........it took me awhile to settle down while waiting for help. Hope nobody ever goes though a locked up situation....ginnie:eek::eek::eek::eek: I was about 45 yrs old at the time
