Cold Enough?

It's cccccolder than a mama fudgie, here in the Miami Valley....and it's been snowing every day since last thursday. Hardly any accumulation, thank heavens.

Just this month it has gone from the 60s to the 50s, to the 40s, to the 30s, to the 2os, to the teens with wind chills dipping to zero.

I feel sorry for those who must get out into it. I'm shivvering right here on my comfy couch, hugging a Blankie.. I think to myself, how did I do it...working, shopping and even playing in weather like this.

The strawberries are freezing in Florida, even. It was in the lower 30s there last night.

So how is it in your neck of the woods? Shut up Earl..:D

Snowing and snowing and snowing, with a splash of frigid. The other corner of the state got two feet. We've only got 8-10". So far. Supposed to dip into the minuses before the end of the week.

At least we're "prepared" for it. People I know in Georgia and Florida are not impressed.

It's not snowing here but it is cold! Highs today are in the 30's. That's unusual for Georgia.....at least this early in the season. We usually get this cold in February and March. It's not even Winter yet!

I'm freezing! This old house is drafty. This chair has a back and a seat (duh) but with a open space between them. Given as I am to no pants and lap blankets when I'm home (makes self toileting easier) my bu** is freezing. I've ordered a back down to seat front 1-piece sheepskin to warm me and keep me free of any pressure sores - well really for the cushiness and warmth. I can't wait to get it. Merry Christmas to me early. It's been in the 30's, cold and with snow flurries. I sit and read over floor heat ducts. AAAAHHHH.

I know......what is up with that?? It's supposed to warm up to the mid 50's by Saturday but rain is in the forecast. The weather lady also said that "interesting precip" is forecast for next week. Ugh.......

Frost on the berries in Flo-duh...Seems to be happening every year now! I feel for everyone who's dealing with the cold temps, especially if they're not used to having to.

Seems like a colder December in Minnesota than usual, too, though that could just be my bad memory .
The last real snow we got last Friday, about 7 inches here, though it's been flurrying off & on since. 3 above when I got up this morning, now it's 16 with 7 windchill.

This is like January weather. I'm kinda scared to find out what it'll be like then!

Ohio is where I experienced my first real bout with cold weather. I spent a little over 4 years in Dayton, OH. I remember it was so cold one time that I thought I had boogers in my nose but it was just the cold air. I'm thankful that I have yet to feel like that again and I live in Chicago.

It has gotten cold fairly early this year. Maybe you need to try a snuggie. I think that's what it is called. Just be thankful you don't have to battle MS and the cold outside every day.:grouphug:

I'm south of Dayton, in Kettering. Born in Dayton and lived there most of my young life. I know of what you speak, Mocha, but I don't think I'd want to trade our cold weather for the windy city's...Brrrrrr!!:D
