O.M.G!! my first PM Dr. arrested!!!!

I really don't know why this surprises me, but the very first PM Dr. I was referred to that was a total jerk to me was arrested this morning on drug charges. Intent to distribute, prescription fraud and the list goes on. He was the first Dr to dismiss my symptoms and would not do anything for my pain...he was writing scripts for people like me and then selling them. My GP says I may be subpeoned to testify...karma will kick you in the butt every time!! Now, waiting on the second PM to get his due. Both Drs treated me like crap and wouldn't help me with anything. Wow, my head is reeling!

This man was so cold and horribly mean to my husband and told him to shut up and that his "opinion" didn't matter. My husband just asked him to give me some relief because Lyrica and Neurontin made me hallucinate and he was scared for me. This doctor turned to me and said that if I "think" I had RSD that he was going to have to give me a block, which he said meant putting needles in my back and that it was a very painful process and was I prepared for that. I told him that it couldn't be any worse than the pain that I already had. On the way home I cried and told my husband that I didn't want that man touching me. He gave me the creeps and NO ONE tells my sweet husband to SHUT UP! I tell everyone that if they are mean to my hubby that they will surely be punished.

jeeepers creepers!!!!! oi!!! not good on his bedside manner at all!!! I hope you have found a better doctor since him!!!

I often wonder in times like this if its them really abusing their power or if its them giving medication to pain patients. In a sense pain medication alone doesn't always help. I dont know.

What are your guy's thoughts?

Thats just sad...that his life had come to this!
im sorry that you had such a bad experience with your doctor.
my goodness!

omg that explains why he didn't give you time of day. i hope you get peace with all this..

I have NO Faith in PM doctors, Unless they are psychiatrists, specializing in pain. Then, you sit and talk for a while. No in and out.
RSD is a neurologic disease.
That's why my expert, (and probably one of the best experts on the East Coast), is a Neuro. He was partners with Dr S, back in the day, and Dr S is still my doc as well.

PM docs seem to hang out a shingle, and bring in the low lifes of society. It's all about $$$. Nothing more.

Stay with the specialists that you deserve, and this disease demands!
Please!

These PM Jerks will soon make it hard for all of us to get the meds we need!

Be well,

Pete

Hi Cindi,

I just hope he doesn't buy his way out of the mess.

I have no faith in PM Drs. either. We have one around here that has lost his license and gotten them back and from what I told practiced without them. He pushes pills like candy and is knife happy and owns the rehab facility in the hospital he practices in. I see PM Drs. as using their knowledge to make more money then most. I've actually seen about 4 and not one of them knew anything much about RSDS. To me they also like to push the high end treatments to make that big money instead of trying things that don't always line their pockets.

This one I went to actually called my PCP to see if I was there for drugs and he has gotten 4 of my friends addicted to drugs so bad that they can't function as human beings. I would say kickbacks is the reason for that.

We aren't getting the dispenseries in our area either. They voted them down because we have 10 in neighboring towns. Yeah.

I agree with Pete, these PM Drs. are going to make it very hard for people to get the help they need for RSDS. I am hoping Drs. like Anesteolgist will step up to the plate more and good Neurolgist that are willing to learn about RSD.

PM Drs. also deal with a lot of other pain conditions that are simpler to deal with.

Ada
