anyone else experience after holidays crash??

Well I was assuming mass would be too much..and I was right. By Christmas morning I was feeling awful...took a half hour nap then went to family's house. Yesterday I stayed in and today I'm a mess! I'm more dizzy than ever, top of my head and back of head are killing me and the fatigue is the worst its been. I tried laying down but can't sleep.. Any suggestions?

Oh yes....I'm 5 years with PCS and I still have problems with socializing...holidays are the worst! I'm totally worn out, my head is throbbing, I'm off balanced. Only suggestion I have is to withdraw from activity, be in a calm place...it takes me at least a week to get back to 'where' I was before socializing. It takes time.

A week...OMG I was just starting to feel a little better before this week of pushing myself too much! My head is throbbing and stabbing everytime I even talk ..forget the phone that's even worse. I barely watch tv and last night watched a half hour and got up sooo dizzy. Does that happen to you?? Or ever hear of the tv or computer bothering someone w pcs?

Yes I have problems with visual...I have vestibular problems...described as my inner ears received a concussion also. I go to vestibular therapy which has helped. My eyes jump up and down now also part of vestibular problems which makes focusing on anything difficult...it all goes hand and hand with TBI. If you have not seen a vestibular doctor, you might need to see one. Mine is part of an ENT doctor office.

does the computer or tv bother you?? What has a vestibular doctor done for you??

5 years..how are you handling it? I'm going crazy for just about 4 months. I have 3 kids -- one in college and boys are in 7th and 4th grades.

Do you drive? What are your main issues??

Just another suggestion - as well as the ear/vestibular side ( I am being referred to an ENT specialist) I also paid myself to see a behavioural optometrist for some vision problems that had never quite resolved after my first injury, and were made much worse by my recent injury.

He diagnosed some convergence problems, ie my eyes not working together very well, and a midline shift, which can contribute to dizziness, vision problems, etc.

I now have prism glasses, have vision therapy once a month and do eye exercises at home and all this has improved greatly.

If you can get a referral, great, or if you have to, and are able to, pay yourself, this is some of the best therapy I have had.
