Dmd, dds
Hi. New to the forum. Just wondering, is there a significant difference between a Dentist with DMD or DDS after their name. Going to need full dentures, and wonder if one is better than the others.
My regular Dentist was wonderful at fillings, cleanings etc, but I had an upper partial about 1 1/2 years ago she could never get to fit properly, so I am really looking at going some place else for the dentures. Thanks Sam |
A friend of mine is studying dentistry... He told me that in the United States DMD and DDS are considered the same. They have the same education and the same dental degree.
DMD = Doctor of Dental Medicine DDS = Doctor of Dental Surgery I don't know if these are considered different in other countries. I hope this helps. :) Abbie |
