Bone Marrow

I have been having more pain than usual in my knee. So my chiropractor sent me for an MRI. He referred me back to my family doctor. Who said I have to put in his simple terms bone marrow leaking in my knee joint. He doesn't want to do a bone scan yet. He referred me to an orthopedic doctor. He is on vacation until Feb. so I have to wait. I have full body RSD has anyone else had this problem? I read where it is common in fibro. Thanks

Sorry, I have never heard of such a thing. It sounds very painful and scarey. I too have full body RSD including internal and it is a real pain in the ***. I have been dealing with thi crap since 1986 after 3 back surgeries, blocks, too many to count and every other treatment except ketamine, they said it is too late for me. How long have you had this that too have full body? Gosh, and you have to wait until Feb. to see the Ortho. Did your Dr. tell you if this is dangerous to your body or general health, bone marrow leaking anywhere to me seems very strange. I hope you get a good answer from the Ortho when you see him and hope you get the pain relief you need
Your friend Wendy

I've heard that we're more susceptible to bone marrow problems but I'm hoping that whoever you see for an orthopedic doctor is one your pain management Dr. knows and that this new doctor understands RSD. The last thing you need is a surgery happy Orthopedist.

Good luck,
Dawn

Thanks for your comments.
I trust this orthopedic doctor. He has a friend with RSD. My husband is a firefighter and had to have a knee replacement and this doctor did the surgery. He is on vacation and that's why I have to wait until Feb. I don't want to see anyone else.
Thanks again,
Sherrie

Ouch

Never heard of this complication, although I'm not as well read on fibro because I've felt like it's the 'lesser' of the evils I've been dealing with. Great ! Something else to look forward to !

Best of luck with this.....and let us know how it all turns out !
