Lots of????
My last MRI from 07 showed herniated disc at L5,S1 with problems at 2 3 &4. Doing a new MRI next week as there has been an increase in pain, along with burning, numbness in my legs and spine.
I have a strange sensation on the bottom of my feet, they feel slick, wake up rubbing them on the sheets. Is this spine related? I don't want to gothrough RFA, or the steriods shots. What are some other options? Does a SCS feel similar to a TENs? I love my TENs, but the lead wires are a pita. Can I bypass all the stuff that usually doesn't help and go straight to SCS? |
Usually the pain docs will make you go thru the steroid injections before going to the SCS. You can ASK if you can have the SCS, but I would imagine they'll try the injections first to see if they work. If the FIRST one doesn't work, do NOT let them do any more!!!! The second one will NOT work if the first one doesn't. These doctors like to tell patients that the injectiions have to build up in the system but that's B.S. They do NOT build up in the system -- it's a fact that if the first one doesn't work, the second one won't either!!! Nor will the third or fourth. The doctors just want the $1,500 they get for doing them.
Best of luck, and God bless. Hugs, Lee |
I try to avoid steroids, I'm T2, the stuff jacks my glucose up to where I feel crappy. I don't need any help with that! LOL
thanks for your reply |
