New Neuro

Hi Everyone!! :)
Still just hanging around. My pcp finally got me into a Neuro that is just 30 miles away. Went to him last week, he had most of my records from Univ, and Mayo. Did a Neuro-Lupus tests? Spinal MRI and Evoked Potential. He also talked about repeating the Spinal Tap. Went back yesterday,
Mri showed no lesions in cord, only compression from discs . Evoked potential was pretty good he said. Still waiting on this neurolupus tests to come back.
Hospital faxed it to me today at work. Everything negative on it but the Antinuclear Antibody was Positive. Just wondering if anyone else had a positive one. Don't go back to Feb 3rd.
He brought up my Mri of brain and showed me all the spots. He did say they looked like MS. There were quite a few and guess I thought they looked bigger
than I thought. Just trying to patiently wait... but it is so hard. Just was excited to see something "Positive".
Trying to keep it together!! Wondering if he will still want to do Lumbar Puncture again?

That's great deb. Are you on a DMD? Why would another LP be necessary? Sheese!.

How do you feel?

My local MD wanted to do a spinal for me, and I said NO! I have been thru enough, and dont wish to repeat it. I would ask this guy why he wants to repeat such an anxiety provoking test. Is he trying to rule out MS? is he thinking you have something else? I hope you get the answers you seek.

I think he's says there is much room reading it, is why he wants to do it again. I acted pretty upset about doing it again, since I had it done by a student at univ, she took 5 or 6 stabs before she got it. I think the look on my face, said it all, he said lets just wait til the blood test comes back. Puzzled about the Antinuclear Antibody is positive, what I can find is autoimmune disease, can be many kinds. I have Hashmoto thyroiditis, when i had my left thyroid removed in 2004. Don't know if it can be from that. Guess I'll have to wait and see what he says.
I'm always getting hopeful that this all is clear cut, Seems like it never is. :(
At this point, just a idea would be nice ;)
