What manufacturer makes the best pain pump? My father is being tested in the hospital for one now, for failed back surgery. Lumbar Fusion. Every step of the way has been bungled up until now. Hopefully, we can get this right. Also, which medications has been the most effective. They are talking about Dilaudid and Lidocaine. Any ideas?

Hello Anthony!
Good Question!
I am sorry to hear of your father's battle, but he is very fortunate to have you looking into this information for him. Here is a very informative website that I pulled from the 'stickies' at the top of the page......the first part of the link discusses the SCS and as you scroll on down, it gets into the pain pump. From the looks of the illustrations, it appears this particular link is partial to Medtronic :), but I'm sure Boston Scientific and the other major manufacturers offer very good pumps as well. http://www.nationalpainfoundation.or...e-technologies "Bobinjeffmo" is a member here who is a pain pump veteran. You could possibly gain alot of good info by reading his posts. Here is one of his posts decribing his experience.... http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/post701979-14.html You could also just scroll thru the threads here in the SCS/Pain Pump forum and find ones discussing the pump.... Hope this helps! Rae |
Rae has it right
