Vacation!!!

FINALLY!!! Yay!! My last was in October.

I'll be flying out early tomorrow morning. Heading to see the husband in Florida. I can tell you, not only am I thrilled to see him, but to get the heck out of this snow-filled city known as Moncton, NB. Averaging 1 Nor'easter or weather bomb per week at least this winter... I'd like to see no snow for a bit thanks!

Have a great time,Laura. Some warmth sounds wonderful right now with single digit temps here this weekend. I bet you won't want to come home.

I hope the weather is perfect for you while you're there. Have a wonderful time.

Thank you!! It's actually pretty chilly here, but the hubby's helping that situation :).

Supposed to warm up here in the week I believe. Much preferred over the extreme cold warnings right now they're having back home.

Have a great time, Laura! You deserve it!

I'm going on vacation on June 21st with my mum and boyfriend. Soo can't wait! Were only going for 4 days but it will be SO nice as I haven't had a vacation in over a year. Were going to Spain. It's only 3 hours away plane journey so hopefully all will go well :)! I'll take loads of pictures for you all :D!

I don't remember you getting married, Laura! Congratulations!

Well, even though Florida is having some of its coldest weather it's got to be warmer than other parts of the country. Even Georgia!

Have fun and don't get a sunburn! :p

Kelly, I was thinking the same thing. I thought I had just missed it somehow. Congratulations Laura!

SallyC 01-25-2011 12:45 PM

Yes, me too...Congrats. When are you going to live in the same town together?:)

dmplaura 01-28-2011 07:11 PM

Thanks all :) I did get married, September 15, 2010. I may have mentioned it on the boards in passing, but didn't make a new topic 'announcement' about it (I don't believe).

Marriage was 1 step of a few we'll need to take for us to be in the same spot. Now comes the immigration process for him to move to Canada with me, and that'll be quite a wait after the paperwork's been sent in.

We're both patient folk though, in the meantime we'll focus on working and paying off what debts we can before we're living under the same roof. He could have relocated to Canada, but going without work for possibly 2 years at 35 wasn't sounding like a good plan. this way, he's still employed and working and the wait is shorter (6 months to 12 months approx.).

So for now, we work and vacation to visit :). I told him I waited my life to find him, what's a couple more months? :)

Congrats and best wishes to you and to your new husband!
What a delightful bit of news!
I'm so sorry to hear that you have to wait to be together, it can't be easy.
I hope time flies for the two of you and that you are in one country sooner rather than later!
