Ambien & Sonata

Can you take one of each (10 mg each)?

this is something mrsD is more likely to have answers on when she checks in again but I know that there is some grave concern over Ambien's side effects so please do be careful

It is my understanding that sleep meds should never be mixed so I would personally advise against using them together (especially as you are also on effexor) you really should get your doc or the pharmacist to advise you on these various drug interactions....and maybe also consider something different from Ambien

Thank you dear (((Cheri))) I hope you had a good day!

I, too am wondering

why you are asking this question.

In my experience, Sonata doesn't work well. People tend to raise doses,
and fiddle with it, which is not good.

Tolerance to Ambien is also very common. All sleeping pills (except for Rozerem) seem to do this over time.

I think it is time to discuss this with your doctor.

Please be careful.

Thanks MrsD. Yes, the Sonata did not work at all for me so I had to go back on Ambien. There are nights when the Ambien doesn't work very well and I need to sleep that I will take a Sonata with it just for that extra kick in helping me to go to sleep. I will be careful :)
