I've Started a PD Podcast

I was at home this morning scouring iTunes for a podcast dealing with Parkinson's -- and the pickings are very slim!

So rather than curse the darkness, I decided to light a candle and start my own podcast. Podcasting is a lot of what I do at the federal agency I work for, so it was a cinch.

You do NOT need an iPod or anything like that -- you can listen on your computer by going to my blog at http://blog.billywisdom.com and just clicking the podcast link where indicated.

If you DO have an iPod, you can subscribe on iTunes (or whatever you use to catch podcasts" by entering http://feeds.feedburner.com/shakinpd wherever you enter such things to subscribe to a podcast.

I will blog daily, but podcast about once a week. It's free and I'm not trying to sell anything... just trying to spread the news.

Enjoy!

In case anyone's subscribed to this podcast -- and given the highly charged debate in this thread ( ) -- I doubt it... :)

The feed address has been changed....

It's now...

http://parky.billywisdom.com/rss2.aspx

And the site itself is...

http://parky.billywisdom.com

You can listen online or via iPod... z'up to you!

Pax Vobiscum!

You're quite welcome. In weeks to come, I'll include chats with the good folks down at Vanderbilt University Medical Center who are conducting the clinical research trial on early DBS.

You've got at least one UK listener ... very professional job, keep up the good work!

To Bill..

Bill, that's great stuff you are doing:)
You have taken your time and done a great job at getting all the facts about the issues That monolouge about stem cells was right on the money. WE don't know whether stem cell technology is the right tree to bark upwards at. My own opinion is that is is perhaps the best chance we have for an "in our lifetime" cure. And federal funding is neccessary, because the biotechs aren't getting anywhere, maybe because they already know the expected results, or maybe because they become Pariah and lose industrial funding. I mean there are so many things on the medical horizon that private companies can turn a profit from, why mess with the opposition, etc.
Once again, a very good production, although the music background bugged me a bit, (before i got to ignoring it); your voice alone is more than enough to give your broadcasting "Pizzazz".
You are a "perky Parkie", no doubt about it. Keep on broadcasting, I'll be listening, when I can. Thank You. cs

Thank YOU! Actually, there's a psychological reason for background music in something like this -- it's designed to get both sides of the brain working in harmony as you take in the information. See? That's the kinda junk you learn in 30 years of broadcasting! :)
