interpratation of mri results please someone help me!
hello everyone ive got two mris i need help with first is the cervical. findings: the axial scans through the upper aspect of the cervical spine on the right are somewhat inhomogeneous and this may be related to some type of artifact. there is a minimal disc bulge at the c5-6 level which reveals no significant asymmetry or focality. no other disc bulges or protrusions are seen. the neural foramina appear to be patent. the cervical spinal cord reveals no evidence of syrinx or neoplasm and there is no definite abnormal increased signal seen within the cervical spinal cord but there does appear to be some artifact present. the signal demonstrated by the bony structures is within normal limits. impression: minimal disc bulge at the c5/6 level otherwise negative study although there appear to be some artifacts possibly related to scan inhomogeneity or the patients body habitus.

Hi Jack ~ All this says is that you have a bulge at C5-6 and they see some bone spurs in the cervical spine. Other than that everything is normal.
Wouldn't it be nice if they just talked like normal people??? LOL Sheeesh I hope you're not in too much pain, but i have a feeling that it does hurt, right? What is the doc doing for your pain? Just giving you Vicodin or something? I wish you the best. Please keep us posted on your progress. Hugs, Lee ;) |
If you can describe the symptoms & the avg pain levels you're having - maybe we can be of help that way.
As Leesa mentions nothing "bad" seems to be showing on the MRI results. If you might have some sort of soft tissue injury, trigger points, or muscle spasms those can cause a lot of pain, but usually won't show on on MRI. |
