Dura tare.

8 months ago my husband was hit in the eye and the entire orbital socket was crushed. From this he had eye socket surgery and it was noticed shortly after he was leaking spinal fluid from his sinuses. He underwent a crainiotomy to fix a large fracture at the top of the eye socket and the tare in the dura was one inch by one inch. They thought that the leak would be stopped by this surgery. However he hemoraged and they had to go back in 48 hours later to repair the new damage. Its been nearly two months since the two surgeries and now he has spinal fluid leaking out his nose once again. Does anyone know of a permanent fix. This leaking leaves him light headed and feeling generally miserable.

Hi Hon.

You poor thing. I know that others will come by and reply to your posting and help you out. All I can do is give you a gentle hug  and say "Welcome to Neurotalk"

You certainly have a lot on your plate don't you. Your poor husband. How is he doing? Did they fix the leak?

Please try and take care of yourself. I hope you have a support system where you live.

Melody
