Saw Some Robins Yesterday!!

I couldn't believe my eyes...I saw 6 robins yesterday...in single digit weather no less!! Barb said she's seen them all winter in mid-Illinois...
are these birds dumb, or are they trying to tell my neck of the woods that the groundhog was correct? I hope it's the latter!!:smileypray:

It's only February but bird songs sounds a little different, new voices. I have hope Spring will come.

I am SO ready for Spring. I heard cardinals singing yesterday morning. Haven't seen any robins yet but hopefully soon.

Wow, that is an early return for them. Hey they may be part of the fat little flock that are eating about 4 lbs of seed each week at my place! I saw 10 robins sitting on my fence 2 weeks ago, waiting for their turn at the feeder. The 6 doves had first picking.

It must be a good sign, to see them so early.:)
Not a peep from them in my yard yet..:(

Well, there is a mulberry tree next door, the birds wait till they have
fermented to eat them. Then they are too drunk to fly, so you may have to wait a bit longer.

It is a strange sight to see this huge flock of robins staggering around our yards!

kicker is right--it's only February, and February can be pretty wintry even where I live, in the Pacific NW.

But I saw a robin the other day! Or I think I saw one. It had that bouncy robin look to it and that robin-like shape. I could have sworn it had an orange front too.

Almost time for basking out in the sun....:sunchair:
