Hi Missy,
Welcome to NeuroTalk. The subforum for spinal cord stimulators is here : http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread114132.html |
Hi Missy. I'm new also, but can relate. The Docs tell me the same thing dealing with Arthritis attacks. I can take Ibuprofen and Hydrocodone for pain, but only in limited amounts because of diabetes and worry about kidney/liver damage occurring. And they suggest learning pain management.
Otherwise. the foot neuropathy is mainly dealing with numbness, sharp pains that only lasts a few seconds, and losing balance. I've never felt the need for pain meds dealing with those symptoms I was also having these vision problems where everything would go blurry with flashes. The Doc put me on a heart monitor, but that didn't indicate it was heart related. The Neurologist put me on an MRI and did blood tests, but nothing was found. During a routine eye exam, I happened to mention it to the Optometrist, He immediately diagnosed it as an optical migraine. Even though I rarely get headaches, he said sometimes it occurs in the optical nerve. And it turns out that's what it was. So you never know where the answers will come from. |
