Read Marc's new Blog and rant, and vote for him

Marc, our Wheelchair Kamikaze friend, has written a new Blog. It is terrific as always, and covers a lot of rants and problems.

He wrote this new one and sent it in for the award Blog contest again this year. We all voted last year. So read, enjoy and vote for him, if you love his writing.

You just have to click on Wheelchair Kamikaze name on the choices, then vote.

Thank you Lady. I'm pleased to see that Mark is already leading with the most votes. I hope everyone supports him again this year!

Just voted! I don't know if I agree with him regarding the anger he is expressing, I but I definitely understand it.

Me too Sally. He is funny yet he gets his point across. If you are ever in NYC or any crowded street you would understand how people never look where they are going. NY is not a sweet small town place with all friendly people. They are all in a rush to get somewhere, and by a certain time.

It is like the Spain's Bull-run at times. Run or move out of the way. Or like Black Friday store sales. You can get knocked over. As for the texting on phones, why can't people just pull to the side and text.

I don't use mobility aids anymore, so I fear being pushed over myself. I don't want to break anything. I have to look out for the other people heading toward me. When I had a cane and not living or working in NYC, I found that my town is pretty good when they see people with a mobility problem, and hold doors open and/or are careful.

I can understand Marc's view having workied more than half my life in the rush of NYC. I think downtown is worse than uptown. The financial district is crazy. Uptown there is not as many people running out of the buildings, but lots of shoppers and tourists looking up.
Rambling again.

I've been in NYC a few times in the past and I know what you mean. I loved it but, I wouldn't want to live there!!:)

Hey folks, thanks for voting for my blog.

And Lady, thanks for starting this thread.

I'm still always surprised at the response my blog gets, and I'm so gratified that some people find my writing to be helpful in one way or another. Whoever thought I'd have an alter ego-The Wheelchair Kamikaze?

Thanks again for all your kind words and support. They are appreciated more than you can know…

You're still in the lead, Marc! What do you get if you win?

I like your videos - my dd is visiting in NY.
