So blessed to belong to this board...

I feel so blessed to belong to this group. I joined a Facebook group called Really Sucks Dystrophy and they are having a lot of problems with people being mean and hateful to each other. I don't get on there much, but they continuously send emails apologizing for others behavior. How sad is that? It just makes me feel so much better about all of you here. I know that we have never met in person, but this board has changed my life for the better. If I hadn't found it, I would still be in my bed in the dark feeling sorry for myself. I love ya'll and pray for you everyday!!!

I second that emotion, tenfold!

I learned more about treatments for my RSD from friends on this board than anywhere else. If it hadn't been for you, I never would have managed to get the help I needed to get back on my feet. A year or so ago I was a mess!!! Emotionally and physically. You guys are great!!......

Love and peace, SandyRI

I so agree... Nothing worse than feeling the fear of RSD and it's winding road.. until we turn to eachother for support..our hopeless fears turn into hope and strength and knowledge.. I thank you all...

Me too

So nice of you to post Cindi 5-6 years ago I was so terrified and lost I dont know what I would have done without all the woderfulful warm and helpful members on this site and there have been many dark times when no one except those on this board could have possibly understood, and have helped me pull through. I still come so often for support help education and to try to help and give back it's a very special community thanks for posting! Cz
P.s. Love your lab I have one too!

cindi1965 02-21-2011 09:45 AM

Thanks to all of you...Cz, I have 2 labs, actually lab mixes. Zoe, who is in the pic is Lab, German Shepard, and Brindle Bulldog. Gracie is our other one and she is Lab, Border Collie and German Shepard. They are soooo smart and don't know they are dogs. Zoe is so in tuned to my RSD that she knows when I don't feel good and wants to lay on me and give me kisses on my leg. 50lbs of Lab love!!!
Zoe LOVES to get her nails painted and watches me put make up on and holds still when I pretend to put blush on her cheeks. Gracie is our "talker." She says I love you, go bye byes, and please, let's got to the river...at least that's what we think she's saying. We can't say our friend, Jack's name AT ALL, because she thinks we will take to our camp at the river. Jack gives her hot dogs and steak and she rides in his boat. They both love the neighbor's cats and at 9:00pm they know that they are outside. The cats love to go in between their legs and they stand still and let them. They give kisses and then want to come back inside. I would never have any other breed of dog. :)

Cindi,
I belonged to a FB group, including the one you mentioned, although that one is not my problem. They seem to have (and I hate to say this ladies) Some Real 'Catty' women, who consider themselves above all others.

A young lady who got rsd before her teens, was astound when a friend told her she's just faking this for whatever reason'.?
This group jumped on her, all wanting revenge. I was the first one in, saying, wait, you're gonna get this, and, you know this disability will take out certain 'friends'.
Not good enough.
These others wanted his email, or more, and wanted to 'Tell him off'.
HUH?
What good might that do?

Anyway, this young lady and I both quit the group, are now friends, and she's the one who actually characterized the above story for me.

It's a shame, and shows how we must keep busy, and not let this disease, 'Become Us'.

We must operate ABOVE RSD, and other hurtful things.

I was very disappointed in that group.

This place is wonderful! Saved my life!

Pete
